![]() Only 14,000 miles out of a completely rebuilt GM transmission is not acceptable. So at 86,000 miles and I am looking at paying for transmission number 3 for the Vue. ![]() It has been 14 months and about 14,000 and my transmission has failed again (error codes PZ0752 and PZ0700). The new (rebuilt) transmission had a 12 month, 12,000 warranty. From the time the transmission failed to the time I received it back with a working transmission was nearly 2 months! But the rebuilt transmission performed well and I was satisfied. They told me that they were going to install a new GM completely rebuilt transmission at no charge. He took the car back in for further repairs and said that the torque converter was bad. I finally persuaded the service manager to go with me on an extended ride and he agreed with me that was not acceptable. I don’t know if there is a difference in transmissions but it occurred to me that there may be some differences and perhaps some of the parts were not correct. My Vue has the 2008-only option of having the shift gate on the floor like the Red Line or the Cadillac SRX and not the button on the shifter. It never shifted that high before the repair and was hurting the gas mileage. I had it back to the dealer several times and they tried to tell me that was normal. However the repaired transmission did not shift correctly, it would stay in lower gears far too long (usually 3,500 rpm before it would up shift). Fortunately it was still under warranty so the repair was covered. ![]() I have a 2008 Vue XR AWD and the transmission failed at about 72,000 miles. ![]()
